Dan and Dad want pizza. Dan wants to get the pizza.

The pizza smells really good.

Dan is VERY hungry.

He eats have on the way back to the booth.

He eats half on the way back to the booth.

He eats the other have, too.

He eats the other half too!

 

"You ate the WHOLE thing!" says Dad.

 

Dad wants to get more pizza.

half가 여태까지 내가 알던 하프가 아니라 해프 (hæf)였다.

당연히 발음을 모르니 half를 have로 들을 수밖에...

마지막 문장은 그나마 책에서 본 기억을 되살려서 half라고 받아 쓰긴 했는데...

내가 발음하고 말할 수 있는 게 들린다고, 정말 아는 만큼만 들린다.

매일 영어 책 읽기 습관을 들여야 하는데

영어 공부 5달 한 게 아직도 습관이 안 됐나 보다.

꾸준히 매일 해도 뭔가 조금씩 나아지는 느낌이 안 나서 그런가?

지난 주말부터 하루하루 미루다 보니 벌써 10일...

밀린 다섯 권을 읽어야 하는 부담감까지.

하루에 한 권이라도 다시 꾸준히 읽자.
